I've gone round and round on this... trying to reduce my server space and cut some costs to make a "one thing" we can use to share info and recruit, but then when people are ready, pull them off the site and into off-grid radio.
Survival thing is pretty cool, I also started Hardened Homestead which would kinda roll all the patriot topics, survival, and community into one thing. Again, our goal would be to help people get prepared in a fun, entertaining, and easy to understand way.
Everyone who preps makes either a urban or rural homestead, and the most hardened homesteads, are those with a community.
I've decided to stop selling website space and informed my current customers yesterday of that decision (I only was hosting half a dozen websites besides my own). Conflicted between a survival site and a homestead site. I guess survival still fits the broader topics. Maybe make a set of criteria for the Hardened Homestead badge, patch, etc. Something with some "gameification" to strive to get to the next level.
Dragging feet over this as I want this to be the best and permanent thing. It just doesn't feel right yet.
