Experimenting with Basil tea tonight. It's tastes very good.

1 cup water
5-10 sweet basil leaves slightly crushed with a muddle.
Dash of freeze-dried lemon
Teaspoon fresh local honey
Dash of cinnamon or stir with a cinnamon stick

Bring water to boil then remove heat
Add tea leaves, muddle/crush then steep for 5 minutes (to taste)
Add to tea cup
Add a Dash of lemon (to taste) freeze-dried or 1/4 fresh lemon
Add a Dash of cinnamon or leave stick in (again to taste)
As water cools to drinking temp, Stir in a teaspoon of honey. Once dissolved, enjoy!

Garnish with a basil leaf, cut or break leaf in half on rim or wipe rim with the basil leaf to add basil oil aroma.

Great for soothing, calming, and more. If using for cough, increase basil and honey components.
