The United States Patriot Community uses ranking and achievement systems to encourage people to keep learning and growing. Ranks give leaders the ability to make important decisions within their local unit(s). Many of the members who carry rank have prior experience with leadership roles, but we're also here to teach people how to lead a group if they've never done it before.

Below is an explanation of our basic ranking system. You'll notice it follows a military style command structure (but much less complicated). Each rank is recognized with banners here on the site, physical items for your uniforms, and awards when you pass a threshold within the ranking system. Beyond the ranking program, awards are given within each of the specializations when you demonstrate your proficiency or skill relating to a topic. The idea here would be to concentrate on one skill set at first, and then learn another, then another and so on. Units within an area may focus on a particular set of skills so that multiple units within a community are covering all specializations.

Private - Received after being vetted by your local unit, attending the required local meetings, getting your duty uniform (optional), and swearing-in.

Private First Class - Received after you pass the Hillsdale College Constitution 101 Class - https://online.hillsdale.edu/courses/constitution-101. All members of our community should strive to meet this goal.

Specialist - Rank received for specializing in and demonstrating proficiency in at least one of the following areas: https://uspc.us/categories/specializations.7/ All members of the USPC should be in a unit that focuses on at least one specialty.

Sergeant- Local unit leader of about 6-8 people. Each community will have more than one Sergeant whose unit will specialize in specific duties.

Lieutenant - Leader of 4 Sergeant units within a region.

Major - Leaders of all units within a specific County(s)

Lieutenant General - Regional general, with each state being divided into four or more quadrants.

General - The leader of a specific state.
