Goldbacks

Looks like https://www.herobullion.com/gold/goldbacks/ is a little less, in TX (closer) and free shipping at a lower price point, 4% discount for ACH.... Will report back as soon as they get here.

The sound money index also measures a states value on money. Arkansas went from 30th to one of the top when they passed the Arkansas Legal Tender Act which reaffirms gold and silver as legal tender, as well as ends all taxes on purchase, sale, or exchange of specie, including state capital gains taxes.

Talked with the owner of Defythegrid.com and they are a homesteading family as well. They price matched the really big fish https://finestknown.com/goldbacks-for-sale and they're all about helping us folks who know what's coming. Getting 25 business stickers as well.

So defy the grid is still the best go-to, you just have to call them to price match. When you sign up, they also have an affiliate area so you can earn money on each referral. Only one I've seen that has that. I think if you call in, you can get free shipping under $300, I did anyway.

This is going to be a big business with Goldbacks. In the last 2 years their exchange rate doubled. As inflation continues to rip people's money away, we'll need local businesses where you are that take currency that isn't based on the USD. We've tried crypto and other stuff but NOTHING is as easy or transparent as Goldbacks. This can literally save our businesses, farms, and livelihoods.

I've sent a letter to the Goldback legal team asking them if there's been any approval progress in Arkansas (that that it matters, but). I also contacted the sponsor of the Arkansas Legal Tender Act to see what steps need to be taken to get this approved as a "Other specie that an Arkansas court rules to be within state authority to make or designate as legal tender." legal tender through the Arkansas court system.

Including Arkansas, 40 U.S. states now fully or partially exempt gold and silver from the sales taxes.

Hmmm. If a barter-only market were to start accepting goldbacks in trade for merchandise, would that be considered trade or sale? It could certainly alleviate a notable problem that we have encountered which is the difficulty bartering item for item. But if it is considered a sale then the government would be all about trying to come in and take what they can get away with in the name of taxes.

It is seen as inventory for some of the businesses that are trading. Like there's a whole Statewide chain of plumbers who take this and instead of calling it money they call it trade and put the goldbacks as inventory (for example).

Thinking about placing an order in the near future. Ryan, what are your thoughts on the durability of the Goldbacks now that you have them? Obviously they will need to be treated with care when used for transactions but do they seem like they will hold up to being taken out and placed back in a wallet, changing hands, etc...? Thoughts?

Here are some videos showing durability. I like how tough they feel. It's not a foil feel like it looks.
