I personally go with my ol faithful MOABs I recommend them to anybody.

i can get the old jungel style boots pretty cheap if folks are hurting for money but still want a solid if dated boot

So 9 months in and I can say both of these boot options have failed me. The tan ones are ripping apart at the seams and the black ones chafe fairly badly on the heel. Thankful we started the walking challenges to really try and test these, would way rather find this out now.

Was thinking of trying these out next

I have the S2V. I'm on my second pair with the composite toe. Sadly they cost way more than I paid for them a few years ago. I'd buy them again.

I wear Altama's like all the time. I also have some okelys and Nike combats that i like but the Atamas are stupid light and dry and i tore out the insoles and replaced them with my stupid crippled old man prescription insoles and i can run again some. They're like SAS commando botties...ie cammo chuck taylors. I never had great luck with Rockys High Techs or Danners. YMMV

I got the inserts but returned the boots as they were really skinny. I put the laces in, and they weren't going to refund my money claiming they were used. Was not a good experience.
