According to an Axios report, many Americans are struggling with our current health care “shrinkflation” where many Americans are waiting months just for a doctor’s appointment and paying more for health care.

“The U.S. spends more on health care than almost anywhere else. But increasingly patients are getting less in return, and enduring long waits to get not as much face-time with their clinician.”

The Axios report read.

Many Americans were waiting over two months to see a doctor just for those appointment times to be shortened so more patients can be accommodated while also experiencing higher health care costs.

Since more doctors have been retiring earlier, the demand has been increasing and the ‘shrinkflation’ is expected to get worse over time.
